Poker SuperStar Daniel Negreanu claims that a hacker got to its PokerStars account and stole $61,000 of his money. Negreanu says that the hacker didn't empty his account but he spread the $61,000 around several tables. Negreanu said that its an ongoing investigation that he hopes they'll catch the guy.
The famous poker player speaks about that he is not receiving any special treat and that PokerStars agreement clearly states that if your account is hacked you won't be reimbursed by the company no matter who you are. On the matter Negreanu said: "I wish old school Las Vegas rules applied in cases like this, where you could take the guy out to the desert for an afternoon and get some justice, but alas, we don't live in that world any more."
Daniel said that on 31st he tried to log into his hotmail account but he couldn't because his password was wrong. After checking his Twitter account he feared the worst. His fears were right because the hacker did get in his account. He didn't gave Negreanu's money to a specific player but he kind of just sprayed his money around several tables, losing $61,000.

The hacker didn't empty the account. Just a few days earlier Negreanu lost a million so, the $61,000 didn't hurt him so much. Many people have asked Negreanu if he was using an RSA token and he said he will be acquiring one for future play on PokerStars. He recommends all players to get one.
About PokerStars agreement Negreanu said: "I am not getting any special treatment whatsoever. Had the money been dumped to one account and that player tried to cash it out, I imagine something could have been done, but that's not what happened here. You simply can't ask the players who won money off the hacker to simply give it back. It's just not even an option. I accept the decision and think it's totally fair. In fact, there is precedence as it's happened to other people, so under no circumstances would I even accept special treatment in this case. It wasn't offered at any point, but even if it had, I would have said it is totally unfair."
